Odisha supreme in All-India Open Karate Meet

Dillip Kumar Jena and Anupama Swain capped host Odisha`s domination by winning men`s and women`s kumite titles in the 5th All-India Open Karate Tournament, which concluded at Saheed Nagar Indoor Hall here today. Gujarat and Jharkhand were other two states to secure medals in the three-day tournament.
Odisha also claimed the gold in men`s team kata through Deepak Kumar Samantara, Tofan Badatya and Krishna Shikari. State Energy Minister Arun Kumar Sahu distributed the prizes at the closing ceremony. Over 300 karatekas from six states took part in the three-day tournament, which was organised by Utkal Karate School and Shukokai Karate-do Union India.
